Cooking Directions - On the Stove
Combine 1 cup jasmine rice and 1-3/4 cups water in a medium saucepan. If desired, add margarine and salt. Bring to a boil. Stir. Cover. Reduce heat to simmer; simmer for 15 minutes. Remove from heat and serve.

Cooking Directions - In the Microwave
Combine 1-3/4 cups water and 1 cup jasmine rice in a 2-quart microwaveable dish. If desired, add margarine and salt. Cover and microwave on HIGH for 5 minutes. Reduce setting to 50% power, microwave for 15 minutes. Remove from microwave. Let stand covered until all the water is absorbed, about 5 minutes. If your microwave does not have variable power settings, follow your manufacturer's directions.
