Oriental Fried Rice

Serves 6

Ingredients:

1 cup Carolina® White Rice
1 tbsp vegetable oil
1/4 cup slivered cooked roast pork *
1 cup celery, finely chopped
1/3 cup green onions, sliced - including tops
1 cup bean sprouts, drained
1 egg, beaten
ground black pepper
2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce


Directions:

Prepare rice according to package directions. Cool. Heat oil in large skillet. Toss in cooked rice. Add meat, vegetables, and egg. Add a little more oil if rice tends to stick. Add soy sauce and pepper. Cook and stir 1 minute longer. Serve with additional soy sauce, if desired.

* Cooked shrimp, ham, or chicken may be substituted.
