Jasmine Pineapple Pilaf

Serves 4

Ingredients:

1 cup Carolina® Jasmine Rice
1 tbsp margarine
1 cup green onions, sliced
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1 can (8 oz) pineapple tidbits, drained


Directions:

Prepare rice according to package directions. Heat margarine in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add onions, walnuts, raisins, salt and ginger. Cook and stir 4 to 5 minutes or until onions are tender. Add rice and pineapple. Mix well and heat through.




Brown Rice is an excellent source of whole grains.
